Resumen
In the textile sector, productive efficiency is a critical factor for business competitiveness and sustainability. This study was conducted in a Peruvian garment manufacturing company, where an efficiency level of 31.76% was identified, below the sector average of 50.3%, revealing a technical gap of 18.54 percentage points. The main causes of this problem are the lack of process standardization, high variability in production times, and prolonged changeover times. To address this issue, a smart manufacturing model is proposed, integrating Standard Work, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and Single-Minute Exchange of Die (SMED), supported by IoT technologies within the Industry 4.0 framework. The model aims to reduce non-productive times by more than 40%, decrease set-up times by at least 35%, and increase overall process efficiency above 50%, aligning with sector standards. The proposal contributes to closing the identified technical gap, improving process traceability, and strengthening the digital transformation of the Peruvian textile industry.
