Siting and Sizing of Distributed Generation Units in Distribution Systems with Genetic Algorithms

Meza-Zamata J.; Chahuara-Llerena J.; Grados J.; Arellán-Yanac L.; Ramirez-Soto E.; Lara-Marquez J. · Proceedings of the LACCEI international Multi-conference for Engineering, Education and Technology (2023)

Resumen

This paper presents a genetic algorithm for the location of distributed generation units, using the equations of power flow and energy balance between demanded power and generated power. The genetic algorithm is performed in the open-source programming language Python due to its current importance and multiple libraries for data science. The genetic algorithm for distributed generation localization was applied in a feeder circuit in the city of Arequipa, Peru.
