Resumen
This article discusses the importance of sentiment analysis in the digital age, driven by the growth of social networks such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. These platforms generate a wealth of data that enables companies to assess public perception and make informed strategic decisions. Through the collection and transformation of user opinions and emotions, sentiment analysis converts this data into useful information to optimize business processes. The research follows the PICO framework and is based on a systematic literature review (SRL) in databases such as Scopus, identifying studies that apply advanced technologies such as big data, machine learning and specific algorithms. The PRISMA diagram shows the study selection process in a systematic review. A total of 268 records were identified in a database without duplicates or records unintelligible by automation. After initial screening, 225 records were excluded, leaving 43 for retrieval, although one was not retrieved. Forty-two studies were evaluated in full text, excluding some according to specific criteria (n=10, n=5, n=2). Finally, 42 studies were included in the review, ensuring a rigorous selection process based on predefined criteria. Among the findings, Twitter stands out as the most widely used platform for this analysis due to the frequency and brevity of its publications, which facilitate the detection of the most relevant information. © LEIRD 2025.All rights reserved.
