Resumen
Developing research during the training process and supporting it upon completion of studies are challenges facing every graduate student. Hypothetically, a favorable scientific attitude among students is associated with the completion of a thesis; however, developing specific research skills is also necessary for its development. Given the need for graduate students to complete their thesis, this study aimed to determine the relationship between scientific attitude and research skills in graduate students from two Faculties of Education at national universities in Peru. The study is quantitative and correlational in scope, and was conducted on a sample of 384 students in their final semesters of master’s and doctoral programs in Education. The sample was administered two questionnaires: one on scientific attitude and another on research skills, yielding the following results: There is a medium and significant positive correlation between scientific attitude and research skills; which is interpreted as that, by having a positive scientific attitude, there is a greater likelihood of developing investigative skills, from which we conclude the importance of promoting scientific attitudes, so that they can improve their skills. © (2025), (Universidad del Zulia).
