Resumen
The energy density of ocean waves and their predictable characteristics make wave energy an attractive renewable resource. Any technological innovation that can extract this type of energy must go through different stages of analysis to reach maturity. This research project aims to develop a scale model of the wave converter proposed by the Technological University of Peru. This study will be conducted through an experimental test, where the wave amplitude and period are reproduced by a simulation mechanism rather than by a wave flume. The results show that the wave converter exhibits better energy performance at low wave periods and high wave heights. The pulley system configuration on the articulated arm contributes to greater energy generation.
