Resumen
Digital Leadership (DL) has emerged as an area of growing interest in academia and industry. This quantitative study, with a bibliometric approach, analyzed scientific publications on DL from 2018 to 2022 in Scopus, showing a steady increase in publications. The thematic areas evolved from traditional telecommunications to a focus on DL in education and digital teaching, culminating in innovation and millennial performance. Journals such as “Sustainability (Switzerland)” and “Frontiers in Psychology” stand out for their impact in the field. Asia and Europe lead in research, demonstrating a rapid regional adaptation to the post-COVID digital environment. Co-word analysis revealed four thematic clusters and highlighted emerging topics like “Blockchain Technology” and “Climate Change.” For future research, it is suggested to expand the study to other databases and longer periods, exploring the reasons behind limited research in certain countries, and delving into the connection of DL with less explored areas such as climate change.
