Robotic Pollination System for Chirimoya Plantations in the Huánuco Region

Oscata R.; Furukawa R. · Proceedings of the 2023 IEEE 30th International Conference on Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computing, INTERCON 2023 (2023) · DOI: 10.1109/intercon59652.2023.10326086

Resumen

In this research article, the design of a semiautomatic Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) is proposed for the detection of chirimoya flowers and artificial pollination to increase chirimoya fruit production. The UAV will fly through chirimoya trees and will be equipped with sensors and actuators to identify flowers on the branches and activate the robotic pollination system. The design of the robotic arm, fuselage, and mechanical resistance simulations are developed, and a general description is provided of what is expected to be developed, including the electrical and electronic components. The results section focuses on validating the mechanical strength of the fuselage and the robotic arm, as well as the dynamic simulation of the latter using MATLAB, which completes the pollination task.
