Risk management and conservation: Fundamentals smarts roads

Resumen

The almost 25,000 km of roads that cross Andalusia with their several thousand bridges, pontoons, footbridges and tunnels, as well as unique physical environments, require a very important conservation effort to maintain the functionality and even the integrity of the Andalusian road network. On the other hand, the means available are not only limited, but sometimes scarce and have to compete harshly with other sectors of the Administration or against political criteria that are not always understandable. That is why it is necessary to develop and apply methods that prioritize the needs of each road sector and each infrastructure and also provide an evaluation of the state of our roads that is homogeneous with other types of infrastructure and with other sectors that are competitors.
