Resumen
Resilience is a capacity that allows us to positively overcome adversities and burnout syndrome, being a common psychosocial risk factor in society and today considered a disease, requires more analysis in times of global uncertainty; By virtue of this, the purpose of the research is to determine the level of relationship that exists between resilience and burnout syndrome in university students in the area of social sciences in the Peruvian Altiplano. A descriptive study was carried out, non-experimental, correlational design with a quantitative approach. The population was made up of 1,178 students and a stratified sample of 290, to whom two instruments were applied: The Connor–Davindson Scale and the Inventory Maslach Burnout– Student Survey. The results show a high level of resilience (62.4%) and a medium level of burnout syndrome (83.4%), therefore, a low inverse relationship was found (r= -0.348; p=0.000) between both. variables. It is concluded that, by presenting high levels of resilience, students have a lower chance of suffering from burnout syndrome, due to their capacity for positive response, sense of flexibility and adaptation to change in times of social uncertainty and health crisis. © (2024.0), (Universidad del Zulia).
