Resumen
We present the case of a 36-year-old woman with a history of hypothyroidism, obesity, and chronic anemia, who was admitted for melena and headache. Initial endoscopic studies showed no findings, but capsule endoscopy and double-balloon enteroscopy revealed a 3 cm subepithelial jejunal lesion. The patient underwent exploratory laparotomy with segmental resection of the jejunum. Histopathological analysis revealed a thrombosed cavernous hemangioma. The postoperative course was uneventful, and the patient recovered successfully. This case highlights the importance of advanced imaging technologies in diagnosing rare vascular lesions and underscores surgical resection as the definitive treatment.
