Resumen

Research is of great importance within the training process of every student and even more so for obtaining the professional title, so it is constituted in a systematic and organized process that allows, through the construction of matrices and ordered steps, the construction of the documents that lead to it. The first document is the research project and the second the research report or thesis. This work aims to determine the contributions to scientific knowledge from the perspective of Social Work that lead to understanding the sequence of steps for the preparation of documents. The qualitative research used for the collection of information the analysis of documents, the observation, the in-depth interview and the product elaborated by the students of the Thesis I course of the Professional School of Social Work of the National University of Trujillo. It was identified that the students who followed the instructions of the advisor, made the matrices and the process sequentially obtained measurement indicators in their subject, therefore their scientific problem and hypothesis was adequately elaborated as well as their data collection instruments. achieving coherence in the research.
