Resumen
Lonchophylla hesperia is a nectarivorous bat with a distribution limited to Peru and Ecuador. Here we report an interaction between two females, one adult and one sub-adult, observed on 12 December 2023 at Coto de Caza El Angolo. When released together, the sub-adult female perched in a bush and, shortly thereafter, the adult returned and perched at her side. Both remained perched for approximately three minutes, and the adult female was also observed preening the sub-adult, suggesting a possible social relationship.
