Resumen
Tourism, as a global economic activity, is crucial for socio-economic development, especially in countries rich in cultural and natural resources like Peru. This article, using the beaches of Punta Negra as a case study, aimed to explore the interactions of public policies in local tourism development. Methodologically, a non-experimental quantitative approach was used, surveying 45 tourism businesses. Statistical tests such as Spearman’s correlation and Cronbach’s alpha were applied to ensure reliability. The results revealed a positive correlation between municipal management and organizational design with tourism development, while no significant relationship was found with public policies or planning. In conclusion, it is essential to adopt a collaborative governance approach that integrates the public, private, and community sectors to ensure sustainable tourism.
