Resumen

To speak of public management is to attribute to the State the responsibility of creating adequate living conditions and well-being for the population. In this sense, the objective of this work was to determine the impact of public management on the development of the education and health sectors in the Amazonas Region, during the period 2008-2021. A non-experimental, correlational and longitudinal quantitative research was carried out. The annual data base available at the Institute of Statistics and Informatics and the Ministry of Economy and Finance, concerning the aforementioned period, with a sample of 14 data, was used as a sample. The results show that per capita spending on early, primary and secondary education, number of students enrolled and education budget expenditure are indirectly related to the illiteracy rate. Likewise, the malnutrition rate is indirectly related to the accrual; number of nurses; population with chronic diseases and population with health insurance. It is concluded that the progress of the budget execution in the education and health sectors during the period 2008 to 2021, was on average 99.31% and 92% respectively. However, there are still large gaps in illiteracy and malnutrition; by 2021 the results show a rate of 9.6% illiteracy and 18% chronic malnutrition. This is evidence of poor management of economic resources in the public sector.
