Resumen
Given the issue of intimate partner violence, there is a need for valid and reliable instruments. Therefore, the psychometric properties of the URICA-DV Scale, based on the Transtheoretical Model of Change, were analyzed. The study included 183 Peruvian women attending a Women’s Emergency Center (CEM), selected through non-probability convenience sampling. Regarding the results, a confirmatory factor analysis yielded adequate fit indices (χ²/df = 1.78, CFI =.97, TLI =.97, RMSEA =.053, SRMR =.06). Furthermore, the item analysis showed acceptable corrected item-total correlations for most items. As for internal consistency, the scale demonstrated reliability ranging from acceptable to excellent. Overall, the results support that the URICA-DV Scale is a suitable instrument for assessing the change process in women exposed to situations of violence.
