Resumen
Discrimination exercised against the LGBTI+ community is a global problem that has an impact on individuals. Therefore, it is imperative to measure the construct with an instrument that evidences reliability and validity. The purpose of the study was to analyze the evidence of reliability and validity of the Everyday Discrimination Scale (EDS) in cisgender gay men in Lima, Peru. The study was developed under an instrumental design with a quantitative method. A total of 328 participants aged 18 to 35 years (M = 27.8; SD = 9.74) were evaluated. A confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was performed. The results indicated the following adjustments: α = .88, ω = .88, χ2 = 110.8, CFI = .99, TLI = .99, SRMR = .05 and RMSEA = .05. The EDS in cisgender gay men has adequate reliability and validity evidence to warrant the use of the instrument.
