Resumen
The article highlights the use of the ABC methodology to improve product placement in warehouses and contribute to enhancements in the picking process. It also proposes last-mile management to reduce the number of incidents recorded due to poor coordination with the customer in the distribution process. This study develops the design, implementation, and evaluation of tools to reduce lost sales at a company in the wholesale trade sector in Puno. After a validation period, it was found that using the model reduced picking errors by 39.8% and increased the number of orders delivered on the promised date by 30.8% compared to May 2024. The model shows that the simultaneous management of different links in the logistics chain has an impact on commercial results. However, the model is applicable only to companies whose distribution process is controlled by a Transport Management System and whose shipment statuses can be changed by order-tracking software. © LEIRD 2025.All rights reserved.
