Resumen
The objective of this study is to improve productivity by addressing the main causes identified: losses caused by blade misalignment and wear on the cutting machine, as well as reprocessing caused by boiler failures in the edging machine. To this end, the implementation of a comprehensive model based on three key tools is proposed. First, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), focused on preventive maintenance, seeks to reduce recurring failures in cutting and edging machines, ensuring continuous and efficient operation. Second, the Poka Yoke technique will be applied to reduce defective products in the cutting process, helping to prevent errors before they cause production losses. Finally, Industry 4.0 technologies will be integrated through the use of sensors that will allow real-time monitoring of equipment and process performance, facilitating early problem detection and improving decision-making. The expected results include a significant increase in productivity of 11.85%.
