Proposal for Improvement in the Occupational Health and Safety System to Reduce Risks at a Fuel Service Station, Trujillo 2023.

Paola R.Y.C.; Segundo M.O.G. · RISTI - Revista Iberica de Sistemas e Tecnologias de Informacao (2024)

Resumen

The present research aimed to propose an improvement plan to reduce risks at the “Repsol” service station, focused on the fuel dispatch area. The research was contemplated as a descriptive study of the non-experimental type and a cross-sectional design. The diagnosis was made based on the occupational safety and health system. Subsequently, various corrective actions were designed in reference to Law 29783, as it was found that the company only complied with 14% regarding the occupational safety and health policy. Also, 16 high-level risks were identified. The proposal estimated an increase of up to 81% in compliance with the occupational safety and health management system, as well as a decrease from 16 high-level risks to medium level. The study was also able to demonstrate that there is statistical evidence ensuring a moderate association between the designed proposal and risk reduction.
