Proposal for Improvement in Occupational Safety and Health Based on Law No. 29783 to Minimize Occupational Risks at Carrefour Footwear Company, Trujillo-2023

Resumen

The study sought to improve Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) according to Law No. 29783. A quantitative approach and a non-experimental design were used, evaluating a company’s production through sampling. A 21% compliance with the law was found, identifying risks from trivial to intolerable. Engineering tools were applied to reduce risks, such as process redesign, committees, risk identification, and safety documentation. A significant reduction in risks was estimated, placing them at trivial or moderate levels. The statistical evaluation showed a high moderate association between the improvement proposal and risk reduction. In conclusion, an improvement in OSH, based on Law 29783, can reduce risks in the CARREFOUR footwear company.
