Proposal for Architecture for Precision Agriculture Supported in IoT for an Efficient Automatic Irrigation System

Velarde Allazo E.; Acuña Melo E.; Aranibar Pumacota J. · Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering (2021) · DOI: 10.1007/978-3-030-72208-1_3

Resumen

This article is aimed to present a proposal for Architecture based on Precision Agriculture, using low-cost Internet of Things (IOT) technologies, which allows obtaining, storing, processing, and analyzing data in real time, facilitating the taking of decisions. This proposal is made up of a 4-stage architecture, the data capture layer, whose function is to obtain variables associated to cultivation and control of adequate levels of parameters such as soil moisture, this stage is evaluated with field tests, in order to determine the humidity control capacity, the storage layer, whose function is to save the information obtained from the sensors, the processing layer, structure the data obtained, the query layer, its function is to display the structured data in the form of graphs, where the user through a web or mobile application can access the information, which permits to carry out permanent monitoring, in the management of his agricultural crops to its automatic irrigation system.
