Resumen
In recent years, many tasks traditionally performed by human workers have been progressively automated, particularly in areas such as security and maintenance. In this context, this study presents the design and implementation of a cooperative cleaning system based on an autonomous robot aimed at supporting cleaning staff in higher education institutions. The system is designed to operate collaboratively with human operators, enhancing efficiency through effective human-machine interaction. User survey results indicate a high level of acceptance, despite limited prior exposure to such technologies. The system features a modular architecture incorporating components such as Raspberry Pi 3, ESP32, sensors, and cameras, enabling adaptability to commercial robotic platforms. The usability evaluation, based on the System Usability Scale (SUS), yielded a score of 74.7/100, indicating good user acceptance and a positive experience. These findings suggest that the proposed system is a viable solution that contributes to regional technological development while improving operational efficiency without replacing human labor.
