Resumen
The determination of the profile of coffee growers for export allows the recognition of the essential characteristics, priority activities and commercial obstacles for the economic and productive development of coffee growing. Thus, the objective of the study was to identify the profile of coffee producers for export in the Coopagro Peru Cooperative in Jaen, Cajamarca. For this purpose, the survey tool was used to gather information from the 209 farmers who are part of the organization using the criteria of voluntary participation, age of majority and time of permanence of more than 3 months. In that sense, most of them have a committed harvest, prefer cash transactions, the most sold variety is Catimor and only one member has more than 10 hectares. It should be noted that they face challenges related to product quality and there are institutional limitations that generate obstacles to financing, which represents a gap that must be eliminated to improve the conditions of coffee growing in Peru.
