Resumen
The aim of this study was to identify the behavior of the number of publications and scientific collaboration of South American countries, 2012-2021, as well as their possible relationship between them. The change in the dynamics of scientific production of the countries in the last decade is evident. Likewise, the preference for international collaboration was confirmed in all countries, with the exception of Brazil. The linear relationship between production and international scientific collaboration is not uniform in the countries analyzed.
