Resumen
This article offers an improvement proposal in a line of beauty oils for a cosmetics manufacturing company. The present work took as a reference a sustainable Peruvian company that manufactures natural beauty products with a low productive efficiency in the Beauty line Oil. This company presents stoppages due to shortages of raw materials, machinery stoppages and faulty products that have a negative impact on unrealized sales amounting to PEN 244,002 equivalent to 9.1% of its annual billing. The main causes of the poor performance of the line with the highest sales were identified through a review of the processes of the production line. Through the application of different tools and a new forecasting model, it is expected to increase the line efficiency of the Beauty line Oil. The present work was outlined through the continuous improvement cycle and will be validated through a simulation in Arena. With this proposal, the authors offer the literature a methodology that allows raising productivity in a sustainable way, while guaranteeing fair trade with small producers of natural supplies in the Peruvian cosmetics industry.
