Preliminary list of the entomofauna of the Lucre-Huacarpay wetland, RAMSAR site, in the Cusco region, Peru

Resumen

A preliminary list of the entomofauna recorded in the Lucre - Huacarpay wetland RAMSAR site is presented on the basis of bibliographic information, and a review of material from the Entomological Collection of the San Antonio Abad National University of Cusco, Peru. 9 orders, 68 families, 124 genera and 92 species + 60 morphospecies were recorded, the most diverse groups being the orders Coleoptera (18 families, 18 species + 17 morphospecies), Diptera (14 families, 12 species + 13 morphospecies), Hymenoptera (10 families, 26 species + 9 morphospecies), and Lepidoptera (8 families, 28 species + 3 morphospecies).
