Resumen
This article addressed the implementation of Power Apps in report and maintenance management in an agro-industrial company in Peru. The need to optimize response times and improve information reliability led to the search for a digital solution to replace manual processes based on paper and Excel sheets. Digitalization represented an opportunity to reduce errors, enhance communication, and streamline decision-making in the maintenance area. The study aimed to analyze the impact of using Power Apps in report and maintenance management, evaluating its efficiency and contribution to digital transformation. It sought to determine whether this tool optimized operational processes and reduced response times in identifying and correcting failures. The research was applied, with a re-experimental design without a control group and a quantitative approach. The population consisted of 7 specialized maintenance technicians, and a census design was employed. A 12-item questionnaire was used and administered to maintenance area technicians. The data obtained before and after the implementation were compared using the paired-samples statistical test and analyzed with SPSS v25 software. The results showed a significant improvement in the maintenance department’s response times, with a 57.83% reduction in failure reporting, 56.70% in report registration, and 58.03% in report control. The p-value of 0.000 confirmed a statistically significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results. In conclusion, Power Apps was established as an effective tool for operational optimization, improving information accuracy and facilitating decision-making. It was recommended to continue digitalization and provide staff training to maximize the benefits of this technology.
