Resumen
Hydrological monitoring was carried out in a natural infrastructure (amuna) to evaluate its effectiveness in rainwater control and aquifer recharge. The amuna is located in the San Pedro de Casta district, Lima, Peru. The historical precipitation was measured by a pluviometric station called Autisha installed by the National Service of Meteorology and Hydrology of Peru (SENAMHI), the 2018 rainy season precipitation was measured by two automatic pluviometric stations, the flow was estimated using water level sensors installed in 11 spillways and the calculation of aquifer recharge was performed through the difference of flows (initial flow minus final flow). Precipitation is higher from January to March and there is a direct relationship between precipitation and flow. The estimation of water recharge indicates that from December to March there was a water infiltration of 225.8 x 103 m3/km in the amuna.
