Resumen
Introduction: This study presents a pragmatic approach to the concept of the good as a resource for personal development, focusing on how the events and processes that shape our reality and construct us as individuals become conscious and intentional. Methodology: The research is basic, descriptive and exploratory, reviewing academic studies on the good as a tool for personal growth and evolution. Concepts such as good, evil, time and language are analysed, seen as intellectual constructions that help in the formation of the self. Results: The study confirms that good, like other abstractions of the world such as mathematics or the inner voice, is an involuntary and unnoticed process in people's lives. Through decision making, the good is constructed abstractly, influencing our personal ethics. Discussion: The good is shown to be an accidental intellectual construct that guides people from the concrete to the abstract, in the process of value formation and personal ethics. Conclusions: The good is an unintended tool that plays a crucial role in the construction of our identity and ethical values throughout life.
