Resumen
This study seeks to optimize the performance of a metalworking line by applying TPM, SMED and process standardization, also integrating the Internet of Things (IoT) into the TPM to monitor the status of the equipment in real time. The objective is to reduce downtime, improve maintenance and increase productivity, especially in the company's most profitable product. Currently, there is a performance gap of 19.91%, which has generated a loss of 11.61% of annual profits in 2023. The implemented proposal achieved an improvement in overall performance by 8.70%, addressing specific root causes: rework (CR1) with an improvement of 19.45%, availability (CR2) with 6.35%, operational efficiency (CR3) with 3.04% and productivity (CR4) with 0.36 bowls / hr. These results demonstrate a positive impact on the efficiency and profitability of the process, bringing it closer to the goal of achieving a minimum efficiency of 95%.
