Performance Evaluation in Lima of MPPT Algorithms Implemented over a Low Cost Microcontroller

Adriano R.; Osorio A.; Quispe M.; Luyo J.E. · Proceedings of the 2020 IEEE 27th International Conference on Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computing, INTERCON 2020 (2020) · DOI: 10.1109/intercon50315.2020.9220234

Resumen

The distributed generation based on renewable energies is a new technology in the current development of microgrids. In this article the analysis of the performance of the three most used algorithms to track the maximum power point in a photovoltaic generation system is shown. The algorithms were implemented in a low-end microcontroller (ATMEGA328); the evaluations were made for the typical climatic conditions of Lima in the month of April 2017. The results show that the incremental conductance algorithm responds with higher performance than the Perturb and Observe and fuzzy algorithms.
