Pedagogy of Pain and the Amuyawi (thinking) of Border: Counterblow to the educational supercycle in the Southern Cone
Huanca-Arohuanca J.W. · Izquierdas (2025)
Resumen
The central assumption of the essay holds that the Pedagogy of Pain is combined, materialized and nourished through the Amuyawi of Frontera as emerging thinking of the America of Colors; in the same parallax, it assumes that the pedagogy of joy modeled by the dominant curricular supercycle in Peru, is not a pedagogically viable option. From the advancement of critical theory to the pedagogy of otherness, through liberating education in the Southern Cone as the first expression of educational avant-garde, an education emerges powerfully motivated by the pain –source of learning and growth– of those who are below the social food chain in front of a pedagogy that propagates joy, anomia, indifference and the pulverization of local knowledge. From this complex universe full of disputes and controversies with different nuances that invite reflection on the horizon that frontier education should have, emerges the Pedagogy of Pain, a doctrine accredited to teach through the experiences of tension, suffering and indignation to the mountain man absorbed by the dynamics of monetary power, who now resists and seeks his emancipation through the nascent Amuyawi.
