Resumen

Builders and other stakeholders in the built environment are very concerned about making the manufacture of concrete more environmentally friendly. The overview of recent developments and advancements in green concrete is the main focus of this chapter. The contents addressed a wide range of topics, primarily wastes from industrial, agricultural, and building sources. The listed materials have cementitious qualities that make them better replacements for cement and aggregate, primarily by reducing the energy used to produce concrete. This chapter provides guidance on suitable materials for green concrete development, thus, it will serve as a good material for researchers and builders, for use and further development of green concrete.
