Resumen
Origami-based solutions relate to the use of the classical antiquity of origami to tackle a variety of technical difficulties. Origami-based creations are often determined by the principles that control their mathematical qualities at every size, while being applied at scales ranging from micro to meter. As a result, it is not unexpected that research into their applicability becomes a topic of cross-disciplinary attention. The purpose of this review is to cover contemporary origami-based application possibilities, development approaches and tools, and medical technology, construction, automation, space constructions, bioinspired technology, and microstructures are just a few of the domains where origami-based engineering applications are discussed. This paper also discusses design processes, design tools, and related manufacturing restrictions. The challenges and the future development prospects are also discussed.
