Organizational Change Management: Key to Success

Inca Soller R.A.; Carreño Ramírez D.H.; Flores Sotelo W.S.; Aguado Lingan A.M. · Revista Venezolana de Gerencia (2024) · DOI: 10.52080/rvgluz.29.e12.46

Resumen

In a context marked by globalization, digitalization and changing customer expectations, organizations face the challenge of continuously adapting to ensure their competitiveness. Organizational change management is presented as a key discipline in this process, but its effective implementation remains a challenge, with high failure rates reported in the literature. This study aims to identify the key factors that facilitate success in organizational change processes based on the perception of leaders and employees, who have different but complementary perspectives on organizational transformations. The research was based on a quantitative and exploratory methodology, with surveys applied to a sample of employees and leaders of public and private organizations. The results indicate that effective leadership, an adaptive organizational culture, clear communication and active employee participation are determining factors in the success of change. These factors, when managed in an inclusive manner, promote an organizational environment that facilitates continuous adaptation and minimizes resistance. It is concluded that organizations that integrate the perceptions of leaders and employees into their change strategies not only increase the likelihood of success in implementing these strategies, but also strengthen their ability to respond to external demands. These findings offer practical guidance for directors and managers seeking to improve organizational resilience in the face of constantly changing environments.
