Resumen
The paper concerns with an optimal operational planning for a fleet of All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) servicing the adventure tourism sector. Integer Linear Programming (ILP) and Deterministic Dynamic Programming based full model (DDP) is presented to address the problems of resource allocation, route planning, and maintenance scheduling in "Cuatri Pachacamac"peruvian company. The goal is to optimize gain and keep the system operational. The ILP model focuses on maximizing the monthly net profit including variable costs (fuel, maintenance and salaries) and capacity constraints of fleet. The results show a 21.7% increase in profitability, from an empirical profit of S/. 2300.00 to S/. 2799.10, using only 8 of the 22 available units efficiently. The DDP approach validates the sustainability of medium-term decisions by integrating preventive maintenance into weekly planning. It is concluded that the application of Operations Research tools is essential for transforming empirical processes into profitable and sustainable systems.
