Resumen

The objective of this research was to optimize the design of a steel fiber reinforced concrete portal frame using the Simulated An-nealing algorithm. The methodology was basic, non-experimental, and simple descriptive, using Excel to collect initial data. After 14,000 iterations of the algorithm, an optimal design with two 40 x 40 cm columns and a 25 x 40 cm cant beam was identified. The steel rods were 1.25% for the columns and 1% for the beams, with steel fibers added at a rate of 20 kg/m3. This allowed optimizing the total cost to S/. 1236.32 soles, reducing the initial estimated cost by 67.68%, not including labor costs. In conclusion, the applica-tion of the Simulated Annealing algorithm achieved an efficient and cost-effective design of the steel fiber reinforced concrete portal frame. The final design met the required geometric and strength specifications, validating the results with ETABS analysis. Demonstrating that metaheuristic optimization is an effective tool for the design of steel fiber reinforced concrete frames.
