Resumen

The mining industry presents challenges, which are constantly being overcome. Part of these challenges is the optimal administration and management of the times that various activities carry out, one of these being the mining transport cycle. The general objective is to improve the evaluation and management of time units with respect to the mining transport cycle. The present research work develops an analysis based on the results of time in the transport cycle of a mining unit located in the district of Cayarani, province of Condesuyos, department of Arequipa, in Peru, using data collection techniques through the review of records and direct observation. Data processing techniques were also used through the application of POM QM for Windows 3 software. Based on the results obtained in the case study model, the parameters for the use of data in the software have to be established, which implies a task assignment to the activities and an adequate establishment of the sequence and time that they have. The findings showed that through the critical path we would have better identified the routes to be considered, taking into account in the analysis the gaps or excesses that these activities may suffer, concluding in the choice of a unique process of activities that will generate benefit for the development of the project.
