To this end, the article highlights the following initiatives: (1) the International ReCOD Congress held at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, and (2) the thematic dossier on digital discourse published in the journal Lengua y Sociedad. This article is presented as a state-of-the-art review of the principal objects of study, as well as the theoretical and methodological perspectives that have been of interest to Latin American academia, in dialogue with scholarly production from across Iberoamerica.
