Resumen
This study provides valuable insights into the relationship between occupational safety and health management and job performance within a Peruvian e-commerce company based in Lima, Peru, in 2024. The primary objective was to evaluate how managing occupational safety and health impacts employee performance. Adopting a quantitative approach, this basic, correlational, non-experimental cross-sectional study examined a sample of 136 employees selected through probabilistic sampling. A survey served as the data collection technique, and a questionnaire validated by experts was the instrument. Reliability was assessed using Cronbach’s alpha, yielding acceptable results for both variables. Findings revealed a moderate positive correlation (Spearman's rho = 0.475, p < 0.001), suggesting that effective management in these areas significantly enhances employee performance. The study concludes by emphasizing the importance of strengthening occupational safety and health practices to optimize job performance and recommends implementing effective prevention and training policies.
