Resumen
Structural distortions resulting from seismic excitations, due to insufficient spacing between buildings, can generate external pounding forces between them and may induce severe damage if these external forces are not taken into account, which are in addition to the external forces. of seismic inertia product of accelerations in the ground. In this paper, the analysis of four cases is studied by establishing, in each case, three different buildings in their structural configuration and floor number to quantify the impact force between them, generated by the seismic inertial forces. Linear Time History Analysis (LTHA) modeling is performed in the pounding analysis direction (East-West). Time history analysis is used to determine the structural dynamic responses, which be use as input data to quantify the seismic pounding forces. The calculated impact force match to the interaction of these buildings. The results of the study indicate that for an analysis with a separation of zero centimeters between buildings, a building with five levels presents an impact force with a value of 30.26 Ktn-f corresponding to a displacement of 12.67 mm. This impact force value suggests approximately 14.84% of the base shear force.
