Nototriche canoi (Malvoideae, Malvaceae), a new species from the Cordillera Apolobamba, Peru and Bolivia

Mazzei P. · Phytotaxa (2026) · DOI: 10.11646/phytotaxa.767.2.3

Resumen

Nototriche canoi, a new species from the Andes of Peru and Bolivia, is described and illustrated. The new species belongs to Nototriche sect. Pedicularifolia and is morphologically most similar to N. flabellata and N. lanata in its lobed leaf blades. It is distinguished by the presence of a glabrous corolla tube, basal papillae on the free portion of the petals, smaller mericarps, and shorter awns. A detailed description, illustration, photographs, and a dichotomous key to the species of Nototriche sect. Pedicularifolia occurring in Peru and Bolivia are provided.
