Resumen
Currently, environmental conservation is a fundamental task to ensure the survival and welfare of the planet, in the face of its accelerated and dangerous deterioration. To reverse this situation, it is necessary that human beings become aware of the situation and exercise positive actions that lead to individual and collective changes. The objective of this study is to determine the influence of non-formal environmental education on the formation of positive attitudes towards environmental conservation in the inhabitants of Junín province. A mixed research approach was used, since it is aimed at decision making and attitudinal change through citizen participation. The experimental method was applied, with a pre-experimental design of a single group, with three fundamental moments: pre-test, stimulus or treatment and post-test. The inhabitants of the province of Junín, selected through a non-probabilistic sampling, participated in the study. The activities developed are based on the environmental philosophy where the conceptual, procedural and attitudinal aspects have been integrated, configuring a new culture of life with ethical and sustainability principles. As a result of this research, it is considered that non-formal environmental education contributes to the construction of values such as respect, care, tolerance, preservation, influencing the construction of a more humane world, directly affecting epistemic, political, cultural and social aspects.
