Resumen
In today’s world, all human activities are based on data networks. The research aims to define the influence of a network traffic management model on the quality of service “QoS” WAN provided by the “Empresa Municipal de Agua Potable y Alcantarillado Tambopata: EPS EMAPAT S.A” of Tambopata-Peru in 2021. The approach is quantitative, with experimental design, with a population of 120 hosts (terminals), a non-probabilistic sampling to 16 hosts. As a result, the model improves the transfer rate management from 647.25 kbps to 4,592.19 kbps, representing an increase of 609.49%; packet delay management decreased from 1. 405.13ms to 87.44ms, showing a reduction of 93.77%; packet delay variation management decreased from 60ms to 0.49ms, representing a reduction of 99.12%; finally, packet loss management improved, decreasing from 9.88 to 1.50 average lost packets, representing a reduction of 84.82%; Statistical tests were performed with the T-student statistic because the data came from a normal distribution, obtaining in conclusion, as a statistical decision, that the network traffic management model improves WAN QoS
