Resumen

The Tarwi (Lupinus mutabilis Sweet), is a livelihood species of the Andean population and the producer loss importance, due to its insufficient and unsustainable economy production. The sustainability of the Tarwi Producing Units (UPT) was evaluated in the Mantaro Valley, Junín-Peru using the adapted Multicriteria Analysis method, having as a source of information the producers (N = 490) and sample size, (n = 114) from four inter-Andean localities: Quicha Grande, Acolla, Cruz Pampa and Hualahoyo. The structured surveys included indicators of sustainability, in the dimensions, economic, ecological and socio-cultural. The internal consistency was determined by the Multiple Correspondence Analysis (ACM) factorial method, establishing values of 0.867 and 0.783 for alpha Crombash that give reliability to the analysis. The General Sustainability Index reached satisfies the conditions framed in the tarwi crop systems, reaching three quarters of sustainability in the UPT. By recommendation domain, Acolla, Cruz Pampa, Hualahoyo and Quicha Grande are currently sustainable. Acolla and Hualahoyo were the most sustainable. The critical point of sustainability was in the economic dimension and the surface of production of self-consumption was the most critical; in the ecological, the management of vegetation cover, and in socio-cultural critical points were not identified that show concern, except the Cruz Pampa locality, where access to health and health coverage were critical, characteristics that identify a strong degree of sustainability.
