Resumen

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, public and private educational institutions have implemented virtual classrooms, and these have been generating a big database year after year. However, since there is no purpose for use, this information is lost when it is deleted from the institutional servers. Educational institutions have difficulties in carrying out activities that allow them to fulfill their role of social responsibility. In addition, it is evident the limitations of the government to reach the most remote populations of Peru, where there are young people with difficulties accessing technical or specialized training. This population is made up of young people from rural areas who do not have access to a career because they cannot afford to pay for their studies, as well as young people from border areas who have limited access to study programs and young people serving prison sentences for minor offenses who need study options to reintegrate into society. The academic entities have a database available as a potential input, and above all, this database is being increased annually. As it is a resource with a high potential and, if we do not take advantage of it, we are losing the opportunity to use an excellent resource. In this sense, to make this academic information database useful and considering that the costs for its generation are already covered, this research proposes that the Army Scientific and Technological Institute (ICTE) organize and systematize the database of academic training and research contents in the form of courses, programs, conferences, among others, that other content generating entities make available to benefit the identified population. The objective of this proposal is to reduce the costs of access to studies, mainly in engineering, aimed at taking advantage of the potential resources of the geographic areas. The impact will be greater in vulnerable and underprivileged populations, allowing academic institutions to achieve their institutional objective of social responsibility.
