Resumen
Introduction and objective. The main objective of the study was to determine the effects of the application of the Multilateral Motricity Program to optimize basic motor skills in 10-11 year-old schoolchildren in a public educational institution, Ayacucho-Peru 2023. Methodology. The research process used a quasi-experimental design. Fifty students from the 6th grade of primary education were selected; who, before participating in the study, took a weekly physical education class. The control group developed physical education sessions once a week and, to the experimental group, the Multilateral Motor Skills Program (proprioceptive motor skills and motor skills for basic dynamic sports balance) was applied during the months of July to December with 15 sessions of three hours per week. The Levene's test in the pretest (control and experimental group) obtained a value of 0.395 < 0.05, interpreting that both groups are homogeneous. The MOBAK 5-6 Battery was used to measure basic motor skills: object control and body control. Results. The results of the Student's t-test showed that the experimental group scored significantly higher (n=21; M=12.19; and SD=2.089) than the control group (n=29; M=6.59; and SD=3.376). These differences were statistically significant (t=6.723; with a sig. =0.000). The measurement of Effect Size obtained (d=1.024), exceeding the minimum of 0.80; interpreting a Large Effect Size. The Statistical Power found 1-β= 0.938 exceeds the required levels (80%), showing that there is a high statistical significance with a low probability of committing a Type II Error of 6.2%. Conclusion. Concluding that the application of the Multilateral Motor Skills Program did have a significant effect on the optimization of the basic motor skills of 10 and 11 year-old schoolchildren.
