Resumen
The study examined how the morphological characteristics of the green infrastructure in the marginal strip of the Cumbaza River influence the thermal perception of its inhabitants. With a sample of 114 people, a mixed approach and a concurrent triangulation design were used to collect data through questionnaires and observation sheets, subjected to internal and external consistency tests to ensure their reliability. The results highlighted those Amazonian environments, characterized by endemic tree species that provide greater shade, are fragmented due to the presence of informal settlements. In addition, thermal perception was found to vary according to factors such as age, adaptability, mood, and satisfaction. Finally, the study offers a critique of the public management measures implemented to address climate change. © (2024), (Universidad de la Costa). All rights reserved.
