Requejo-Rosales J.F.; Cordova-Zevallos J.E.; Paiva-Peredo E.; Zarate-Segura G. · Proceedings of the 2023 IEEE 30th International Conference on Electronics, Electrical Engineering and Computing, INTERCON 2023 (2023) · DOI: 10.1109/intercon59652.2023.10326041

Resumen

Hardware implementation in a microcontroller class is important for the academic training of engineering students because it allows the use of the theory and programming codes developed in an MCU class. The implementation allows students to understand the interaction of the MCU with other components that enable the development of a project. This research aims to design and implement a set of modular cards to reduce the implementation time of exercises developed in a MCU class at the Universidad Tecnológica del Perú (UTP). Therefore, the design of cards under a modular approach is performed, in addition, a user interface (UI) containing the necessary information for the use of the cards is designed and executed. Subsequently, a series of pre-tests and post-tests are carried out with UTP students to obtain implementation times. The results indicate that the use of the modular cards and the UI allows the student to save implementation time. Finally, a survey is conducted with engineering students regarding the cards and UI.
