Resumen
Resilience and engagement are relevant variables, especially in the energy sector, where competitiveness increases over time, as does the impact of disaster- and crisis-related events, which generate significant uncertainty in decision-making and, therefore, have major implications for individual and organizational outcomes. This study aimed to analyze the moderating effects of socio-occupational variables on the relationship between resilience and engagement in energy companies. A purposive sample of 125 employees from the main gas company in Peru was selected. The CD-RISC questionnaire was administered to measure resilience and the UWES-9 questionnaire to measure engagement. The data was processed using a structural equation model to test the hypotheses. The results demonstrate that resilience positively influences engagement among employees in the gas industry. Furthermore, it was verified that the sociodemographic variables of gender and job tenure do not have moderating effects on the relationship between resilience and engagement. It was also found that the roles of work experience and age could not be tested due to failures in fulfilling the steps of the MICOM procedure.
